Dog is Everyone's Best Friend!

Dogs are descended from wolves, and are as such social animals. They intuitively desire to be in a pack where there is both structure and friendship. In the wild, that pack would be made up of other familial canines, but in today’s world, anything goes!

Dogs are capable of developing relationships with animals across species, ranging from cats (their sworn enemy!) to orangutans. Part of the reason dogs can do this may be due to how we historically bred them with the ideals of friendliness and sociability. Additionally, if your pup is exposed to other animals at a young age, they are more likely to develop a friendship with the other animals.

Awareness of inter-species friendships are becoming increasingly common, especially with the rise of social media. If there is one thing we can take away from it all, is that our four legged canines are so accepting of all sorts of friendships, and we should be too!
